About Me
Hi, my name is Maegan Cox. Thank you for visiting and for your interest
in MC Photography. First things first, I must admit I am a passionate young
woman – passionate about my Creator, my family, and stilling some of life’s
most precious moments.
God has not only blessed me
with an amazing husband, but He has also entrusted Andy and I with two
beautiful and spirited little girls, Madilyn and Olivia. Although I have always enjoyed being behind
the camera, my passion for photography did not truly evolve until the birth of
our first daughter, Madilyn. In those
first days with Madilyn home, I lived with my handheld digital camera in my
pocket. I was so in love and captivated
by this precious life that God had given us, and I wanted to capture every
moment of it – every smile (which was probably grimaces from gas pains), every
crinkle of her nose, every yawn, stretch, first baths, bottle feedings with
grandma, and naps on daddy’s chest. If
you have children, you know how quickly your excitement shifts from these
things to witnessing their first giggle, rolling over for the first time,
sitting up, eating jarred peas, to crawling, and so much more.
When Madilyn was about five
months old, Andy surprised me with my very first Canon DSLR camera. From there, I have spent hours learning how
to take advantage of the many different features my DSLR has to offer - reading
the manual, studying video tutorials, and practice, practice, practice. My portfolio has grown from portraits of my children
only to now including newborns, children and families, seniors, maternity,
dance portraits, and a variety of other special events.
